About

The go kart track at the Santa Maria Airport is one of the longest running in the country beginning in 1959. Operations were briefly interrupted in the early 2010s due to FAA policies. Since reopening, the track has resumed its role as a regional, member-focused karting hub.

Home Club: Santa Maria Karting Association

The Santa Maria Karting Association (SMKA) operates as a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation. Its members maintain the go kart track and grounds located at the Santa Maria Airport. Membership is open to the public via an application and submission of dues, granting access to the track whenever there is not a scheduled event.
